The weight. 90 GSM is common.
The color. Bright white is recommended. Fewer impurities.
The coating. Even and smooth.
Factories prefer to use one kind of paper because every time they have to change out the paper the printing process is stopped. So if you need a specific type of heat transfer sublimation paper then ask the factory up front what they prefer to use and will they be able to source the paper you need? 35 GSM
40 GSM
50 GSM
60 GSM

The higher the weight the more expensive.
The higher the weight more ink can be absorbed which gives a higher ink density and deeper colors.
For light color sportswear 70 GSM paper is good.
For solid dark color sportswear 100 GMS paper is good.

The difference is the amount of impurities. If the paper is recycled paper then the amount of impurities will be high and the color dull. When the paper is printed and ink is laid down on top of an impurity the ink may not be absorbed and you will get a very small blemish in the final transfer.
Optical white is the best for sportswear.

Sublimation printing paper is made in China and shipped into Vietnam. I can introduce you to an importer. In general the price is $0.10 - $0.20 per square meter.
The minimum order quantity is at least a 20 ft container for large format sublimation paper. Widths range from 1.4 - 1.6 meters wide.
